This week there were a couple of specific things I learned. This week, in class was presenting our assigned group presentations. To begin my era of presenting which was the start, the origins of post modernism, and talking about Wolfgang Weingart.
We were given a small amount of feedback from the tutor that would help me redefine any future presentations I may come across. Overall, it was a success, as it was engaging and was able to achieve the purpose it was made, which was to inform the audience (my class) what the art movement ‘Post-Modernism’ is, who was part of it, the impact it had, and how it ended.
There were a few things that feedback was given back on for the presentation all be fairly minor feedback. To start, the feedback specifically aimed at me was just to look out at my colour contrast on text , as some people struggled to read some text that was coloured red whilst the background was dark blue-ish.
Other feedback provided was mostly to do with scripts. What I mean by this is that 4 memebers (including me) out 5 read from a sheet of paper. The feedback received was pretty light as we were sort of allowed to do this for our first presentation but not really encouraged, for future reference to try and prevent us using a script when presenting.
Finally, to summarise my presentation this week. I learned lots of new facts about the art movement of postmodernism and especially my designated artist, Weingart. I received good feedback which intern I will attempt to implement in any future presentations that may be more effective when presenting a more ‘professional’ standard.
