This week in class, it was a much smaller yet fairly informative session which was receiving feedback from my lecturer on the progress and development of my music app, Orbit. Myself, as well as my classmates would place our links to the prototypes of out apps onto a Miro board for our feedback.
When receiving my feedback, a lot of it was fairly positive, the lecture really liked the colour palette and the uniqueness of how the app is represented when showing available music. Aside from this, he did explain that some of the font size can be a bit too small and could be adjusted to make it more readable.
Another thing I could have reworked on was moving the pull up button, located on the music and playlist pages into a more comfortable spot for users to be able to access and use it easier than before.
These bit and pieces of what I received may not sound like much but to me they were extremely important and really helpful, as I would be able to improve upon and make sure to avoid making the same mistakes as before. I plan on implementing these improvements to my other current project, the banking app in my other class, to help me make a nicer looking app, more professional and more accessible than what could have been.
Following the critiques, the class was also given their second project of this class. Dashboards. My task is to record data from a week in my life. which could consist of how long I spend on social media or screens, how much exercise I , how far I travelled or what I ate, etc.
I was instructed to create an iPad size layout using Figma, consisting of a couple of pages for this dashboard. Aside from that class would come to an end.
Upon getting home I decided to take a few steps into looking in what possible dashboards could be helpful to look at for references that may help me through the development of my project. I would go on to create a mood board of multiple different concepts of dashboards to help me look back on for ideation and any inspiration.
