For today’s class, each group was asked to present (In order), the progress of their research and project, what they looked at, who they talked to, what they learned, and if possible discuss their possible project idea.
I won’t lie I was pretty disappointed with the group on how this was executed to the class. At this point, myself as well as two other members so 3/5 weren’t made aware of a class presentation, nor was there any reminder or communication put out between the team.
Meaning on the day, 3 of us stood in front of the class not knowing what was going to be shown or told what was going to be explained, yet on the other hand, the other 2 of our members, had scripts and a full presentation ready to present to the class.
As it turns out, the 2 members within the group were aware of the presentation, communicated with just the 2 of them, did not confirm anything or notify anything with the other 3 members and continued on.
This resulted in 3 members not saying anything during the presentation, even when their service ideas were being talked about, which I felt was quite unfair and made the team look bad entirely.
Despite this, the feedback from the lecturers was extremely helpful in terms of what direction our team should take, what service works, and how they don’t. helping us narrow down the service that would have both the biggest and most effective impact on the user.

At this point following the end of the presentation, the group wasn’t at very high spirits about the project and the progress we felt we were making. Knowing this, I decided to deep dive my research into existing service ideas that were suggested or already exist across the UK.
I also bounced between normal Google research and ChatGPT to help speed up the process, in terms of gathering research and ideation on potential further service design ideas. I made it a very important aspect to not flat plagiarise any ideas from other suggestions. I also made sure to ask Chat GPT for the links of each suggested idea to make sure it’s not entirely just AI generated.
Eventually, I moved as much of my research into the teams Miro board for all of us to discuss as a group what idea we could potential go with and twist it into our own creative service idea.

I also copied and pasted the prompt/ response from ChatGPT of my ideation research into the teams Miro board, to remind my team that my research was also influenced with the use of AI.
