What I learned this week (10/10/2025)

For this week In class, There was quite a lot to learn, covering interviews, how they work, what to do, how to prepare, etc. After this class, I actually had an interview of my own that was coming up in a couple of weeks for a freelance job, so I was already pretty aware of what might be covered.

A lot of what was covered was mostly to help build confidence, but more importantly, be prepared and how to be prepared. A lot of this was pretty common stuff, such as doing research about the company or client, prior to the interview, be prepared for any questions they may ask, answer every question if possible, and even ask your own questions.

From what I have learned from this weeks class, it seems that showing confidence is different than being confident. What I mean by this is, being confident when sitting quietly can only get so far. Whereas, being confident when showing off your projects/ work, can show the type of passion, willingness and excitement you may have in that area of interest.

one of the biggest things I learned in this weeks class is the importance of being unique/ interesting. It’s highly recommended to avoid any form of AI when prepping for interviews, as regardless of the layout or structure it seems to end of the same basic result that can be spotted a mile away.
