This weeks class was all about content strategy and user personas. I already understand the purpose and function of a user persona but to me content strategy is where I kept my focus on, particularly for this project.
The purpose of Content strategy is it focuses on the planning, creation, delivery, and governance of content. This is very useful and helpful way to understand what it is. Upon knowing this I felt that this will play a huge part within developing my app.
Another note I took from this class was how much content is necessary for a user. To help me with this, it was recommended to create content only for the users ‘needs’ and not the ‘wants’. This is going to be another huge help for my app idea as to not go over board for content, especially considering my target audience are going to be on the younger end of the spectrum.
There are many different ways to go about content strategy, more depending on the user, and the content, but a lot of it seems to follow the same cycle.
