What I learned this week (27/02/2026)

Today’s class started with a critique of project 1, micro-interactions. Originally, I was going to participate and receive feedback on my micro interactions, but I felt quite disappointed as to how far in the state I had them in, and convinced my self to not upload them, and instead start from scratch. The goal for this was to make it look as clean and as professional as possible.

I wanted to keep it Ship themed, and thought a simple app layout showcasing a couple of different warships would be pretty interesting.

Using that as my basis, I began chipping away at creating new interactions. I did try my hardest to recycle the original interactions I had, but it just wasn’t going to work out.

Using Figma again, the first interaction I wanted, was the ability for the user to freely swipe between one of three images. I achieved this using a simple carosel system, and linking each image to three components. I also thought it would be nice to have a decorative circle behind each image, all with different colours, to help indicate to the user that they have swapped to another ship.
