This week in class, we learned all about the use, meaning and importance of content. An interesting part of class was how content can be represented. For example, most companies and businesses when displaying their content, they would usually always have their most accurate and ideal content front and centre.
We also discussed the many different forms of content, such as Pictures, videos, icons, even words. Words for content is the most common and also has its many types of forms such as, blogging, story telling, news, information.
What I found really useful yet still common sense is how content, especially information should be laid out on a website.
An example that was used during class that best visually describes this would be Apples website for their brand new iPhone. For example, when I entered the website, the first thing to jump out at me was the actual phone which was exactly the piece of content I was looking for.

Following this, for less important information, yet still valuable as I scrolled down the webpage more content was revealed but I see it as secondary to what I as a user am looking for.

Below is a short story based on what I want my smart watch app to be about, who it’s aimed at, as well as how I plan on getting there. This was a task given to class to help generate any ideas that could further my process of content curation.
As a person in digital design/ aiming to be in web design, within some area of the medical sector. I want to create an app for smart watches that can keep track of posture within medical staff such as, Nurses, doctors, and health care assistants .
I want to be able to track poor posture in sitting, standing, lifting and pushing and help correct that within the users. To make sure they are kept safe and healthy, and prevent any self sustaining injures. Injures that could be minor or as far as life changing.
The feedback that was provided on my short story was fairly beneficial, I had the correct idea and explanation of my app pretty well, the only issue was that my story was a bit too long.
