What I learned this week (30/04/2026)

This week of class, was the final presentation of the semester, giving us an opportunity to present, show and tell what work myself as the group have developed over the past 12 weeks. We presented in front of all other groups, as well as our lecturers and most importantly, the group mentors.

In order, each member talked and present different stages of the service and presentation;

Each member of our group done an amazing job in presenting their work and showing off our service to the audience. There was quite a lot of pressure, in which I felt. In terms of how I done, I feel like a could have done better when it comes to showing off more confidence, being less reliant on my notes, and looking more towards the audience than anything else.

Aside from these, I believe, I was still successful in getting my stage across to the audience. On top of that as a whole, the group communicated our service really well and the audience were able to understand it quite well.

In terms of feedback, all was pretty positive with our presentation and service. The questions that were asked were more about alternatives being prepared if our service didn’t work out in some aspects. The other question was in terms of finance, if we had looked at how much our service would cost, for set-ups, roll-outs, maintenance, etc.

Self-Reflection

What i’ve learned

I’ve learned quite a lot throughout this project, working within a team for long-term, getting to know the different opinions, views and ideas. I think the biggest aspect was just finding out how little services exist to support prison leavers within Northern Ireland, compared to the rest of the UK.

The fact that correspondence address set-ups already exist in Scotland and Wales, within local GPs. Yet, in NI when it’s not even considered as a law.

What I would do differently
