Getting started for my second class of year 2, I was well aware of what I was getting into as per a previous teams meeting. This class we focused on building, refining, and preparing our CV’s for placements in year 3. Originally, I thought it was going to be bothersome getting the correct words together to describe who I am and what I'm good at, as well as coming up with an eye-catching but professional design.
Luckily for me, after being shown previous examples of CV’s a lot of student designs and layouts were similar to my previous one I came up with during my time in Belfast Met. This would make it easier for me to gather information as well as suitable layout options for when I revamp my CV. Following this, I sort of already had an idea of what I wanted my CV to look like. My goal is to come up with a professional and working CV that sort of resembles a news paper.
An area of class that stood out to me the most was when we were asked what type of designer we wanted to become. Being asked such a simple question actually made me think of what I wanted to do but more importantly, what I need to get there. Answering this, I do have a lot of areas that spiked my interest, such as:
Web Designer
Graphic Designer
Brand Designer
UI/UX Designer
