The provided brief was to help design a product for offenders on the release of prison and their transition to the community. This a group based project, that will last for the rest of semester 2, my group consists of 5 members, David, Erin, Shea, Olivia and myself.

My client for this project is the south eastern health and social care trust, which is also in partnership with the Northern Ireland prison service.

The purpose of this project is to attempt to improve services, touch points, and systems connections, to better help the transition of people leaving prison and coming back into society.

Key areas to focus on for this period would be handover/ transition, Information loss and service fragmentation.

Following this, there are a good couple of deliverables that are due to be delivered such as,

• Problem statement & User Research
• Current Statement Service Blueprint
• Future State Journey Map
• Low-Fi Prototypes of 6-8 screens
• Project Pitch of 10 minutes

To help me with this project, our time will be assigned 1 mentor who works as part of he industry, that gives us the chance to interview what everything is really like. Aside from this, I have been asked not interview any stake-holders or people with lived experience, due to ethics and safety.
