My class as well as myself were tasked to create and design a dashboard using Figma, based on data we were collecting through a week of our lives.
There were many different options and notes I could recored that would be the core element of what my dashboard is about. such as;
Travel
Locations
Hobbies
Work
Sleep
Finances
There were so many options to choose from a sort of just began with recording anything I would do and proceeded to do for one week, then break down one thing that was the most repetitive and expand upon that.
I would use different aspects of tracking my movements and what I would be doing day to day for that week, recording anything I could using the notes app on my phone to write down anything that came to mind, I also look at the data usage on my settings app and would also use google maps to track my travel, steps, miles, etc.
Before doing this, I wanted to use more interesting details of what I done within a week, so luckily for me I had recently came back from Manchester over a weekend and was able to use the tracking of google maps and my phone to gather data of everything I done and everywhere I went for that week.

I would keep all this data in mind until I received feedback on what my next step could be when it comes to figuring out what my dashboard should be about. Upon receiving that feedback it was recommended to me that I could base my dashboard around my travel, locations and landmarks.
I actually really liked that idea, not only because it could be easy considering the data I had collected, but more of an interest stand point, there would be many different designs I could come up with, along with features I could include to make my dashboard stand out and more engaging.
when It came to beginning the research for my dashboard, I first decided to take a look at existing prototype dashboards when I was looking through Pinterest, mainly to create a moodpboard of anything that caught my eye. When looking into these dashboards, I didn't really look specifically for travel themed as I believed that would hinder a much wider ideation collection for my project.

My next step was to pick out a couple of designs that I thought correlated with my currently developing dashboard the most, and would keep them close by as my strongest inspirations for any ideas I may come up with.
