Pioneers of Post-Modern Graphic Design

The task we were giving was to create a power point or slide presentation as a group, based on ‘The pioneers of Post-modern Graphic design’. My group number was 5 and my team members consisted of; Paul, Aoife, and Katie.

As a group we decided who was doing what and specifically looking into. However, the members of the group weren't willing to speak up too much which lead me to take a start.

I would break up the research into four different parts, one for each member to research. I would let my team choose between the late 60’s (Origins), 70’s to 80’s (kickstart), middle of 80’s (peak), then finally the 90’s (the end).

Eventually, I would set everyone their points:

Getting started

I would begin with our group research by starting up, communication between everyone, I received everyone's emails and gave them mine incase they need to contact. I would also go on to set up a Miro board for the group, for everyone to drop their research findings. The reason I made this was to prevent any copying and pasting as well as enabling the ability to provide feedback to one another.

I also talked to the group about using google slides as the application for our presentation due to the easy and shared access of the site. I also decided to colour code everyone's era to help differentiate people from one another to avoid confusion.

Before I began my own research I wanted to create the first slide, just to help everyone else get an idea of what post modernism stands for.

This is what the first slide looks like, I choose to use this quote as it was personally the best way to describe our movement. I also used this in hopes that when everyone was adding their content to their slides, no one would communicate with each other on their designs. The reason for this is to sort of fit in the theme of postmodernism and their own individual styles.
